In February 2014
we were on our most exhausting trip ever. We went to Ladakh in the
Jammu Kashmir province of India for 5 weeks. We stayed in tents at app. 12000
feet with temperatures down to
-20 °C during the nights. Due to the
circumstances the toilet and bathing facilities were not top standard.
Our goal was to see and photograph the elusive snow leopard, and we went on exhausting trips every day in the thin air, even so the outcome was not
impressive, and for the first part of the trip, we only saw a few snow
leopards high up in the mountains, - but day 18 should be our day of fortune.
We were able to see and photograph a snow leopard, which had moved down from
the mountains. This event was worth the whole exhausting trip.
